2015 Roo Water Filter Part Number
Ok so I need to get a new filter cartridge for next year? Does anyone know the part number and where to buy them? I prefer not to rip this out if I don't have to.

Don't know about the 2015, but I just went to Lowes & bought a similar filter. They have worked fine for me. They come in a two pack so always have an extra, at least until I use the second.

Ahh.....the infamous water filter. Visions of a split housing and water all over my floor still haunt me.

If you didn't use the cartridge that much, can you save it?

Yeah but it will dry out over the winter when I winterize next weekend? I would have thought you could have just used another brand? I have no idea how much they are and where you can buy them?

Your call. Mine worked perfectly also, until the housing split and the rear of the camper flooded. It was slightly more than a year old. All I know is, if I were to get a new one tomorrow, I would have the filter removed before I took it home. That is unless they have replaced that POS with an improved version.

You have not defined which type of filter you need. KW1 or CC1. I believe the KW1 type filter housing is the one that has been giving issues. The KW1 is expensive. The CC1 can be bought at most any big box (and Wally world) stores and cheaply. here's the pictures that show the difference:

Just checked. They are there, small but there. The shape of them is really the thing I was pointing out. The one on the left is the CC1-C10 type.

I will look tomorrow not sure which one I have but maybe next spring I will switch to a Camco exterior canister filter, I already use a Camco online filter that I put on the Water Pressure Regulator.

Mine came with the KW-1. The filter housing on mine has a label denoting the type.
My old 2008 Shamrock 183 came with the CC-1 filter and never had a problem in 7 years of use. Replacement filters were very cheap. But, the CC-1 housing was made of much thicker material than the KW-1.
Undecided about what to do for 2016.

Any tips on replacing filter ? Do you need to soak/submerge it overnight?

No. It can be put in the housing dry. Make sure you turn off the water supply and open a tap to release the pressure in the water lines before trying to remove the canister.

Well guess what, there was a crack in the housing when I put in the new filter and it leaked water - not sure if it was there before or as a result of loading a filter. It's near the screw on location. I took the filter out and it don't leak anymore.

I have bought a number of camco products - you think they're superior?
