2016 233S Roo door strut

Does anyone use a gas strut on the entry door of there 2016 233s? Mine came with a T bar door latch, but has the bracket mounts for the gas strut.

There are several other threads here where folks with struts wish they had the T-bar latch (and some have added it and removed the strut).

I prefer the strut, had a T-Bar tear out on me on my last TT during a windy day

This thread reminded me about my BIL's new Starcraft TT. It has 2 doors on the awning side, each with a window right next to each door.
Each door has the t bar arrangement so that when either door is opened and latched, they completely block the windows.
With struts the doors would be held at a 90 degree angle and the windows would be useable.
Off topic, but another thing with that Starcraft is when the power cord is draped vertically (its natural position) it lays directly over the furnace exhaust vent.

The other threads were from folks with struts that had them tear out due to wind, just like the T-bars.

I had one of those struts on my new Rockwood 2304 mini lite. I removed it and added a T holder because The strut, holding the door open, was just a pain in the the ass. Our friends had one on their Cardinal 5er and strong gust of wind took it ripping out a few of the strut screws and slightly bending the door.
My narrow minded opinion is to stick with the T holder.
