2017 with Tv moved & what size generator

I have been searching for used 23ikss's because we didn't like that they moved the couch and entertainment center. But yesterday I saw a 2017 for sale, with the couch back to the right, a pantry, BUT they moved the entertainment center back to next to the kitchen. This is the only one I've seen that way. Did Rockwood listen to all the chatter and change the floorplan, or was it a custom build? Also what size generator will we need to run the air conditioner in the ikss? thanks for your help.

IF you have a 13.5k a/c, you'll need a minimum of 2400w to run most of them, like the Yamaha 2400.
If you plan to use it in a campground, get an inverter generator.
If it's just for boondocking, then any 3000w+ cheap open frame generator will work.

Yes, for 2017 they flipped the dinette / sofa.
The entire kitchen slide was moved back and reduced in length to open space for the TV/new pantry cabinet.
The pantry now is below the TV which was moved back to be by the kitchen side with the radio( that also changed).
The former pantry by the refrigerator side was eliminated, reducing the lenght of the slide.
Where the TV and Radio used to be (by the right of the entrance door) now you have storage from the floor to the ceiling.
They also changed the countertops to solid....

I liked the countertops and the additional storage but I don't like the sofa in front of the door. We have one of our kids sleeping on the HAB and when it is close to the bathroom it is out of the way in the morning when we wake up and he continues to sleep...

Thank you so much for posting that link to pics of the new 23IKSS!! We've seen the new floorplan, have one on order, but this helps to see what it will actually look like! :-)

it looks like they have new color designs, so excited for you guys to have one on order. How long will it take you to get one? Will you pick it up or get it delivered? How did you pick your colors?

Correction:
The pantry on the kitchen slide is still there, therefore the slide is the same size before....

So, for us - we knew they had changed the colors mid-season, and the dealer was able to show us the new color schemes. They also had gotten a few newer units in that had those colors (albeit in different floor plans), so we could see them first-hand. We had ordered a 23WS w/the new colors - but then were notified that they were making changes to the floorplans right as they were about to build our 23WS - and we didn't like the changes in that unit. So we started looking at the "new" version of the 23IKSS, which resolved some of the issues I'd had w/the version we'd seen on the lot (moved the dinette across from island and moved tv back to kitchen side of door) - so we ended up ordering the "new" 23IKSS model - but aside from the diagrams, weren't sure what it would look like. And we stuck w/the same color scheme (Winston w/Maple wood finish) as we'd picked out on the 23WS. :-)

If you want to see the new colors, btw, I think you can find them if you do a google search. One is "Winston," one is "Jasper," and I can't remember if there is a 3rd option or what it is...

Oh - and I almost forgot - we'll pick it up. The closest dealer is about 2 hours from here, but they've been great to work with!

As to what size generator you need, take a look at the attached file, before you blow your breaker. You need to manage what you turn on!!

Then why do most HB have 30 amp service? If your sheet is correct, I can't run the air, watch TV and use the mic at the same time? But we always do?

Do you have a sheet with watts and not amp?

TT233S, sorry, I don't have a chart showing watts, however, @ 110 volts, 1 amp, equals 110 watts. Based on this equation, your 30 amp rig would consume 3300 Watts. In your example, you said you run the AC, watch TV, use the mic. But, don't use the electric water heater, or you'll blow your breaker.

I was wondering about watts like the OP, because I have a gen that put out 7000 watts.......Anyway I have used all three and the fourth water heater and have never had a problem which your sheet says it should trip the breaker and I never have, and I guess other didn't trip it either!!!!!

Is your RV 50 amp? If so, you can run all the appliances you are talking about, but you couldn't run them on a 30 amp service. You 7000 watt generator would put out over 60 amps, so again you'd be OK with a 50 amp RV.

He has a hybrid TT which are all 30 amp.
No 50 amp hybrid TTs.
