Great work on the cabinet! I need to start a list. Actually this thread is turning into a pretty good reference so I can probably refer back to that.

Anyone come up with anything interesting around the entertainment center and maximizing the setup? It seems like the shelves are too narrow for my satellite receiver. Trying to figure out how to best utilize that space outside of just keeping phones, keys, etc.

21DK Owners Unite

I bought it used. The original owner had two things fixed under Warrenty. I had it inspected and it checked out fine. Just need to decide by Friday if I'm going to buy the Warrenty. I don't have the second year Warrenty and don't think I can buy that now.

Nope, FR warranties are only available for the original owner.
So, a third party warranty may be worth it.
But be warned, many have fine print exemptions that won't cover many of the common expensive issues that RVs end up having.

So in your opinion sould I buy it for my 21dk. The cost is 1600 for four years at a hundred dollar deductible. My main concerns was the roof and the slide out.

No, I'm not a fan of third party warranties.
I've read too many posts of people being ripped off by them.

It's up to you.
if you check out the company and read the fine print.

I had the radio out, and there is a bunch of room back in there. I may move the unit to the side and open up some storage for DVDs and such.
Also going to move the dinette speaker to a vertical wall mount over the fridge and hook it up as stereo on the A speaker channel.
Maybe get a wireless speaker system for the B channel.

Plus, the third party insurance probably requires annual maintenence which will cost you more. Add up all of it and then I really don't think it'll ever pay for itself. But it's up to you decide if it'll make you feel better or if it's worth it to you.

Apologies yet again for questions I can answer myself once I get the thing. Quick question...on the back bunk there is the shelf overhead and it appears to go all the way across when viewed from below. Obviously it hits the bathroom wall when viewed from the front. Is there storage behind the bathroom wall on that shelf? I have a few ceiling tv mounts that fold flat and was trying to figure out what is above that shelf behind the bathroom.

It's blocked off a little past the bathroom wall to avoid things rolling out of reach. Another forum member described having cut into the wall in the bathroom to gain access to that space, and adding cabinet doors.

So the shelf in the bathroom has nothing to do with the shelf on the other side of the wall? I remember the discussion you are talking about...thanks for the reminder...makes a lot more sense now.

That actually makes it an even better candidate for my ceiling mount tv because if the screws go through the shelf it is just going into an empty space that cannot be accessed anyway.

Thanks again!
