21SSL hitch height?

Hey all.

I am expecting my new 21SSL off the line on the 23rd. I am ordering a W/D hitch, but I need to know hitch height of the unit (when level) so I can get the correct shank.

If any of you have one of these units (or maybe even a 21SS), could I talk you into measuring how far it is from the ground to the top of the hitch-ball socket while the trailer is sitting level?

That would sure help me a lot!

Thanks!

Tim

Hi Tim,

I'm sure someone here can measure their's for you.

Just in case you don't get any owners replying to this specific post I suggest that you do a search for those two models and PM their owners.

Also, your dealer might have one on their lot they can measure for you.

Good luck!

By the way - Nice trailer. What do you plan to haul on the front deck?

honda rancher and arctic cat 350 4x4. or my Harley Street Glide. Actually the front deck will probably be empty a good portion of the time. It was only a grand or so more than the standard 21ss, and I figured better to have and not need than to need and not have.

Also, my TV is a Ford Excursion. I will use the deck to carry all the junk most people carry in the back of their pickups. Charcoal, propane, firewood, etc... that I dont want rattling around in the back of my exy.

Thanks. I am getting my hitch separately so the dealer will be no help. My big problem is getting a hitch with enough drop. The Excursion is lifted 8 inches on 37" tires. If the top of the hitch socket is 22 1/4 then I'll be alright.

Below is a pic of the Big Unit (my Excursion) with my old pop up
