And the question is do you like, or dislike the island in the kitchen and the double slide-out?

That is a new floor plan and not too many people here with it.

Have you been able to see one, yet? If not, one good method is to arrange some alone time with it at your dealer. Sit, walk around, and see what it's like to be in it for a couple hours. From the pics I've seen, it's a nice wide open floorplan.

(FYI I combined your two threads)

@Triguy, thanks. The link that Rugged Brown posted is the only place I have seen pictures. My wife was set on a Roo 21ss until she saw the Roo 23ikss. I would still like to see some stats on it. Can't wait 'till a dealer near me has one!

Interesting. Not sure I would like the slide out that is under the awning, but the counter space and cabinets would be really nice!

Very nice, but with all that room, why can't they make the bathroom a bit larger? It looks exactly like my Roo19's bathroom, except for the cabinet behind the toilet.

I think we would love the extra counter space. We're always out of counter space right around meal times. Also, that second slide really opens things up. Nice. Too bad they don't do this in a 233S.

Nccamper, you're the first person on the 5 hybrid forums i belong to, that has found this new floorplan.
no other hybrid forum has any posts about it. RVW has it on their website.
the first hybrid with 2 slideouts!

very interesting, a 21SS with a kitchen slideout.

this model has probably been out only a very short time.

it definitely would have been a contender for us, since counterspace was the #1 priority for the DW. that's why we bought the 23SS.

I agree, meal time is a nightmare for us due to lack of counter space. In the spring I'm buying a small folding table to add counter space.

I'm thinking of adding something like that, too. Either a standalone table or a counter that swings up. Depends on how motivated I am this winter.

Bikendan, that is the reason I posted. As far as I know, it is the first double slide hybrid and no one was talking about it. I do wish they would had made the bathroom bigger, but the kitchen looks like one in a 5er (but roo size).

This will sound odd, but I love it in its deployed state, but with the camper in travel mode, I don't think there would be any room for the bikes we regularly cart around in our 21ss. That said, we probably would have bought this version if we had known about it 3 months ago...the extra storage and counter space is awesome!

UPDATE:

a member of the Hybrid Forum, at RV.net, went to a local dealer that had the 23IKSS and took lots of pics.
here's the link:http://camping.gwebworks.com/roo%2023%20IKSS/

the member said that all his concerns about the awning and slope and the interior room when turtled, were addressed and now he's waiting for the money to buy one.
he did say that you have to deploy one of the slides to get to the bathroom. he suggested the kitchen slide since it's not as deep and it allows for opening up the sofa bed.

thanx to wmoses at RV.net's Hybrid Forum and Topper's Camping Center in Waller, Texas.
