23 IKSS shower mod question

I just purchased a new rockwood roo 23 ikss and have been checking this forum to see what modifications people have done to make improvements.
I have been reading about what other people have done to modify shower with corner splash guards and plexiglass on cabinet.
I was just thinking why not install a shower door and do away with the shower curtain alltogether and stop any chance of water leaking out? Or is there some reason that this would not work?

We bought the same camper! We don't have ours yet. We're hoping for next week though. I would imagine most would say that the shower is small already, and adding an enclosure would make it quite hard to move in there. When we get ours, we'll driveway camp to see if we need mods in there to prevent water from splashing out. Looking forward to setting ours up and getting ready for our first trip in April.

In my 23ss I put the splash guards on the corners and changed the shower head to an oxygenics shower head. The shower head is a must have if you ask me. Better stream and uses less water.

Congratulations on your new camper. We have a 23IKSS too and did the splash guards, curtain clips and plexiglass panel on the cabinet. Those were relatively inexpensive and quick to do. The shower is very tight and I compare it to getting an MRI. But bumping my elbow or backside into the curtain is no big deal. (Sorry for that image). But if it was a hard shower door I think it would end up getting bumped open a lot during the showering process.
Some folks have installed a new curtain track that is much wider to give more room in the shower.
And a big +1 on the shower head upgrade. Makes a big difference.

Seriously doubt you'll find a 3-sided glass enclosure as small as the corner shower is.
have you actually stood inside the shower?

Where did you purchase your oxygenics shower head? Is there a certain model number?

I got mine at a camping store online. You just want to make sure it has the button on the head so you can stop the flow and take a camping shower.

Amazon is also a great source for camping items.

You will love the Oxygenics shower head. Just make sure the one you purchase has the push on-off button rather than the older model with the rotating switch. Try to turn a rotating switch with soapy hands, just doesn't work. The felt water pressure is so much better than a standard shower head.

A related mod I've heard of is to cut a hula hoop down to some amount wider than the shower and to put t-connectors on both ends. The hoop is bent a bit and the t-connectors are fitted against the wall. It's springy enough to keep itself in place and the arch pushes the curtain away from you while showering. No need to replace the original shower rod.
