After spending way too much time trying to configure the U-dinette in a 233s into a bed, I need help. Our old popup dinette had 6 cushions that were flat and laid out to make a mattress. What have I missed? The U-dinette cushions are of varying thickness and some cushions are "slopped" for back support when used as dinette seating. Is it a design flaw for emergency sleeping only? Or, do I suffer from "configuration ineptness"?
I don't have the u-shaped dinette like yours but I noticed that on my couch when I folded it down the back cushions are very awkward to lay on. I think your right it is to be used in an emergency.

We were wondering the same question and it took a couple of nights to figure it out. Here is what we came up with:
You have three seat cushions that are the same thickness and three smaller back cushions that are a little thicker. I assume you also have two corner cushions that have a curve in them that are essentially worthless (need to put cup holders in those put that is a different thread).
Take the two corner cushions and put them somewhere else.
Take the three seat cushions and put the longer 2 at the head and middle. The shorter seat cushion goes toward where the feet would be.
The thicker back cushion goes at the foot. The two smaller ones can fill in the open spots or go somewhere else.
Camper is in storage or I would send a picture. That bed is not just for emergencies. It sleeps 2 8 yr old boys just fine.
