I got this pack of assorted steel and aluminum rivets. It has had the right size for everything I've done. Definitely use the aluminum rivets in the bathroom/shower.

When I installed the plexiglass panel on the shower side of the bathroom cabinet, I used these inside the cabinet to give the rivets more grab.

This was my inspiration:

On a related note, the folks that made this video have a lot of other very helpful how-to videos. Worth checking out - especially for newbies like me. They have a great video on how to maintain the black tank.

Great Mods. I followed you lead on the shower. They work perfectly. No more using extra towels on the vanity and floor. Thx. What size Progressive Industries surge protector did you use. Where did you get it?

I installed snaps on the shower curtain and the tub surround next to the vanity. Works very well in keeping the water in the shower and off the vanity. Now if I can just keep my wife from using all the water!

Thanks for the kind words. I got the surge from Amazon. Since the camper runs on 30AMP electric, you'll want a 30AMP surge.

Amazon.com: Progressive Industries EMSHW30C Surge Protector: Automotive

When I installed it, I used two of these:

L5-30P Plug - NEMA Locking Plug, 30 Amps, 125V - Electric Plugs - Amazon.com

and two of these:

L5-30R Connector - NEMA L5-30 Locking Power Cord Connector, 30A, 125V - Rv Receptacles - Amazon.com

The idea is that should the surge ever fail, you could quickly disconnect the plugs to the surge and connect the power line plugs together, thus bypassing the failed surge. That is much easier than trying to rewire it in an emergency.

I have the home-made version of the X-chocks. I used pressure treated 4x4s and stainless steel hardware.

Steadyfast stabilizer kit

I installed this system on my 23ikss and it is amazing the difference in stability when parked. Took me a couple hours to install myself and way worth the cost.

I also use an x-chock on each set of wheels.

Hi Greg - can you please post some pics of the installed gear? It looks like a great system. What was the most difficult part of the installation?
