23ss and 23IKSS weight distributing hitch question

Hello all, in our search for our next trailer we have gotten 2 quotes one for a 23ss and the other for a 23IKSS. The quotes included the starter package(battery, propane, hoses, adapters and misc. Items) and a weight distributing hitch with setup for our tow vehicle.

I was just wondering if some of you who own either of these trailers could tell me what brand of weight distributing hitch you are using and what size/rating bars you are using to tow your Roo's?

They quoted me for a Fast way E2 WDH which has the built in sway control, he said it was similar to the Equal-I-Zer. They didn't say what size/rating of bars so I thought I would ask you guys what you are using for these two particular Roo's?

Before trading in our 2011 23SS, we had great results with a Equal-I-Zer 10k E4... had that setup for 4 seasons on two different TV's (04' Expedition and then 11' F150 Screw) and it worked great.

We have the 23ss and use the equalizer 4 point sway 1K/10K version. Love it! Looked at lots of recommendations here on the forum last fall. Good luck!

NP- One other item... buy the most hitch that you can afford. It is much more palatable to buy the right hitch and then not need to spend another $800-1000 when you decide to upgrade...

Jimandchris, thanks. It looks like most people stick with the Equal-I-Zer brand. I'm wondering if the Fastway hitch they quoted me would be okay, I thought he said it was a 2 point sway hitch?

X2!

Used the 1K/10K Equal-I-zer on our '08 Roo 23SS before going to our '14 Flagstaff.

"Similar to the Equal-I-zer" does not mean it is the same.

Kona, i replied to your PM and i also agree on the 4-point real Equal-i-zer, instead of the E2.

Hi, there are some you tube videos presented by petes rv center that explains and compares the differences between the two models.
