23SS Slide Not Working

We have a 23SS, and the slide went out fine -- although my husband said he doesn't recall hearing it "click, click" at the end.

Now, it won't slide back in. We hear nothing. It is plugged in and everything else inside seems to be working. Could it be a fuse anyway? Other suggestions?

Someone with that model should chime in as well but I would guess it is a fuse near the battery if not in the power panel.

Try manually running slide back in with crank supplied with camper.
Look for fuse in here

if he didn't hear the clicking noise, it could be something not related to power.

does other 12v stuff work? have you tried manually cranking it in, so you can see if something is obstructing the slide rails or gears?
are you on shore power?

We haven't tried manually cranking it in yet -- luckily it is sitting in our driveway.

I have a fuse underneath, near the batteries, though I believe it's a main fuse, I can't remember it's been awhile. So if other items work on plug in or battery power then having power aint the problem, it's the power to the slideout!

Here's an odd question for any of you Roo owners out there that have slides, in a case like this, where the slideout won't function, is it OK to sleep on the bed while it's still slid in? I've wondered about this in our 21RS, as I bought the trailer used & I'll confess, I've never bothered to figure out how to work it if the power slide won't function?

Well if it is the same as our 21rs there is a manual crank to bring the slide in or out if the motor fails however you cannot use it as the trim gets in the way of putting the handle on. The beam that runs sideways along the back just below the slide.

We haven't slept on it with the slide in but have all ( family of 4 ) been on the bed several times with it in very small kids though.

We just got a 2013 23SS - haven't even had a chance to camp in it yet - well, aside from the back yard. We've had some problems with the fuse for the slide blowing. The fuse for the slide on ours is located under the rig in front left corner.
