Add a separate circuit?
Hi all,
We just traded our 2015 Roo 19 for a 2017 Roo 23ikss. Making some modifications this winter and anxiously awaiting spring so we can go camping!
I just ordered a Progressive Industries EMT-HW30C and will be installing it when it comes in using TURBS idea of using 30 amp twistlock plugs, either in the bathroom sink cabinet or behind the power converter if there is room, I just haven't decided yet.
One thing I was considering though, and wondering if anyone else has done it, was adding a GFI breaker in the power converter and wiring the outside receptacle to it. I haven't pulled the converter out yet, but it appears that when I do, the outside receptacle should be right behind it, so it should be a pretty simple job.
We usually bring a Keurig and have it outside on a small table, and if someone in the camper starts an electric teapot or toaster we trip a breaker, so I think it would be worthwhile to have the outside on it's own circuit.
Any thoughts?
Dave
