I just used mine at the campground a couple of days ago. I just put it on cool hi or something and auto. Set the desired temp to around 70 degrees and it worked well.

Is it a new AC? We keep ours on Low Cool around 75 and it blows very cold air.

Brand new, never used the AC before, bought the 21SS in Jan. think it might not be charged with Freon? I ran the AC for about 3hrs after removing from outside storage and it was not cold inside, seemed cooler outside than inside. It was very warm inside but when I put my hand up to the vents the air wasn't warm but it didn't seem very cold? I have an axcel conditioner, wondering if I have controls on the roof or something? Thinking about calling the dealer tomorrow..

Another thing worth maybe noting is that I have an extension cord plugged into my RV cord, maybe not getting enough juice to cool? Should this matter? I'm charging my fridge before our trip tomorrow and it's parked in the street with limited electrical outlets near so I had to run an extension cord. The temp was a little cool but not much despit setting the temp to 55. I know I should only expect a 15 degree delta but 65 would be pretty cold.

I'm 100 % sure you do not have enough power from that extension cord to make the AC run. You might have actually damaged the AC.

I'm having a brand new one (mach III) replaced today under warranty due to no Freon. Technician on the phone from Airxcel did not seem surprised that it was low/out of Freon.

Sometimes you can get away with running the AC on 15 amp outlet if nothing else is drawing on that circuit, but it should trip the house breaker first. I wouldn't think its likely that this caused the issue.

OP didn't say if its brand new or if it was working before, but sounds like an issue with the AC. Thermostat seems to be calling for cool and the fan is running, so probably time for service on the AC.

We run our Coleman Mach 15K on an extension cord to the house and it has always been fine. I agree and think you may have a bad unit.
The AC is a closed unit meaning you can't add freon. We replaced our PUP AC because of the same issue. Only thing was the AC was 7 yrs old.

Not sure that you can be 100% sure about anything site unseen, I run my 13.5 off an extension cord all the time.

Spoke to the dealer today. He said that the extension may have caused low power to the unit and in this case the compressor has an auto shut off switch in the event of low power issues, he recommended a 30amp extension to cover it. So no risk of damage. However, we are at the site now and no go on the meat locker feeling. We have the bunk zippers open and all fans on so I think we will be ok. It's going in next week when I get back, unit is an issue.

Upstate: wiring issue- no power to the compressor, need to replace the control board located in the ceiling fan position. I guess the relay is bad and a whole board needs to be replaced. Under warranty so free!
