Air Hide-A-Bed Sofa

The standard sofa that comes with Roo is very uncomforable. Is the "Air Hide-A-Bed Sofa" any better?

If it is the same one which comes with the Windjammers, I can happily report that ours worked really well for us this year.

My 26-year old son (who is 6' 2", 225#) and his wife (I have neither measured nor weighed her) slept on it probably 7 nights this past season and found it to be decent and comfortable. I believe it is a 60"x80" (full) queen, which is bigger than our bedroom bed in our Windjammer. Don't get me wrong, I don't think they are thinking about getting rid of their bed at home and replacing it with the hide-a-bed sofa, but that bed is a legitimate and decent option for adult guests when camping, enough so that they chose to camp with us more often than they brought their own Coleman Utah popup (which has huge and comfortable bunk ends).

Thanks. Sounds like you find the sleeping condition more than acceptable. How is it as a sofa. Can you sit on for extended period of time? I find 15 minutes is about all I take sitting on the standard jack-knife sofa.

You are close but it is actually 60" x 74" from what I found out from my salesman that asked Forest River. We got it for the 21SS we ordered and I asked so we could go ahead and get sheets for it.

We haven't used it yet since we haven't taken delivery of our camper. The plan is for one daughter to sleep on it and one to sleep in the back bed. They don't like sharing. lol

Rockwood NV - It is a nice sofa, and actually pretty comfortable to sit on. I would stress, based on the response by grege above, that it may or may not be the same in the Roos as in the Windjammer.

grege - In my Windjammer 3008W, the main bed is 60x74, but the sofa air bed is 60x80 (both advertised and measured as such), so maybe the Roo has a smaller optional air bed?

My main concern was with sitting comfort. Your comment that it’s comfortable for sitting is what I was looking for. The cost of the upgrade is over $500, so I wanted to hear some reviews before I made the purchase. Thank you for assistance

The Roo's are opposite from what I have found out. The beds on the ends are 60"x80" and the sofa air bed is 60"x74"

Ouch. My air bed upgrade was $375 which I thought was bad enough.

grege - It doesn't surprise me the air beds are different sizes (for the Jammer and the Roo, that is). That's good info, and I'd be concerned about the quality question, which we can't address here (i.e., whether the air bed is the same quality as the one in the Windjammer, just smaller). RockwoodNV's bigger dilemma, I imagine, is that there is very little comfy about a jacknife sofa, either as a couch or as a bed.
