Andersen Levelers w/ 2015 23IKSS

We used our modified Andersen levelers this past trip and they worked like a charm. Out of the box, they are too long to fit between the tandem axle on my 23IKSS, so I followed some great suggestions from OldCoot and trimmed them down and also notched the corner. The corner notching is the key and eliminates having to trim the narrow end too much.

The site we had was sandy and they sunk a little so I put a piece of plywood down first and then the levelers on top. Worked great and leveling was fast.

Just another example of how grateful rookies like me are of all the great information and tips you all share here.

I did the same thing with mine and they do work like a charm. I only trimmed one of them and not both. Does not effect the integrity of the leveler. I have the same set-up as you with the X chocks. Love them as well.

We have the same trailer. Trying to get the trailer as stable as possible and we are close I think. Do you notice a big difference with the x chocks. We were thinking of getting them,

I used mine for the first time this weekend. My axles are far enough apart that trimming is not needed. These levelers work great!

Do you happen to know how many inches the tires are from each other?

I do not understand how these things work? How do you drive onto them? It almost looks like they cup the tires. But how is that possible if one has to drive onto them?

I do find that the X-Chocks make it more stable with front to back rocking. What I'm still trying to figure is a way to help the side to side movement. I've read that you shouldn't tighten the corner stabilizers too much but I'm not sure what "too much" is.

Some type of step stabilizer works wonders. I have the adjustable type. I also have a set of the Valterra stabilizers - one front and one back - under the frame in front and under the bumper in back. ALMOST eliminates any movement of the trailer.

I have never seen these before. How come if they are so easy? Are they new? The video makes it look like a breeze and why would you use anything but this product.

So what are the cons?

Vin.

Con? If your tandems are close-set, you have to trim one of the levelers. But, I use them and love 'em! Even trimmed!

I believe that one of the crank handles is for the slide, and the other is for the power jack. As for the battery disconnect, when I press my button in, the battery is disconnected from most of the camper. When it is pulled out, everything has power. To charge the battery, I believe that you'd want the button pulled out. The only time I press the disconnect button in is when I put the camper in storage.

Thanks! Didn't even know step stabilizers existed but it is a great idea.

I need to buy some levelers for my week and half old camper. How easy are the levelers to use by yourself?

I think most levelers require two people - one to slowly drive the tow vehicle and one to watch the level so you know when you are level. If you'd want to do it by yourself, you might need to install some type of large bubble level on the trailer that you could see from the drivers seat.
