Sorry for the delayed reply. I was fishing for trout in the mountains. 😁

I used a small circular saw to cut them. The circular saw has the ability to pivot the deck for cutting at various angles. It worked well for the rough cut. To clean it up I used a grinding wheel. Not the best tool for the job but it worked. A belt sander would be better if you have one.

OldCoot's method was the one I followed. Notching the corner is the key to not having to trim too much off the small end.
