No other manufacturer would get away with it nor would they if people just didn't accept it. Sorry I won't sugercoat a problem nor will I say there is non when there is. Read all these forums, there is a problem with leaks in the Roos.
Well, seeing how we are not sugarcoating anything... they way I see it, hijacking a bunch of threads on this forum to complain about how bad Roo's are made is not fixing your problem either.

I cannot think of one single manufacturer that seasons the canvas on ANY hybrid or PUP, so yes... pretty much everyone accepts it. Not all Roo's leak. Not all Roo's that leak are due to FR's problems. You even suggested in one of your posts that you think you had canvas caught in the seal. 2014 Roo 233S leaks

Well... Hello! Of course its going to leak. You also stated that the bunks don't leak while deployed after you seasoned them. Did you even read the manual? It spells out clearly the things that must be done, things that should be done and things that should never be done. Without knowing the whole story, your troubles sound like someone who created their own mess and is mad that FR would make a product that would let you do it.

I am a blunt and straightforward man, and I think its impetuous for someone making the implication that all Roos have a leaking problem. Sugarcoated or otherwise. I'm sorry you have had your problems. I hope you get a satisfactory resolution. Practically everyone on this forum, (myself included) would we willing to offer any advice or aid we can to help you get your problem resolved. But if 'satisfactory' includes trying to convince current and future FR owners that their units are junk because you are mad at them... well, I see you setting yourself up for more disappointment.

I've never used a FR hybrid. The one we had was a Jayco Kiwi 23B. We never had any problems that were not caused by either something we did, or due to issues from the previous owners poor maintenance habits.

We had to have the bunk ends replaced when we bought it, since they were heavily mildewed, and starting to rot, but they never leaked once they were replaced. The camper itself was well made, and we were happy with it, at least until the tree took it out!

I think it would be a good idea. I was honest when someone asked about buying a hybrid. I read the manual and did everything we were told to do. My opinion is I made a big mistake. I see pages and pages of people complaining about leaks in their Roo's. Seem FR is more than happy to send everyone all the sealant they need. I don't blame them. I had a pop-up for years as did my girlfriend and guess what? No leaks. Maybe I'm just the unlucky one guy who has the one that leaks. I honestly thought FR had taken care of the leaking bunk ends long ago but again reading all these posts (not just from me) apparently not. I don't mean to put down anyones precious Roo's I just think they have a leaking problem. All of them. I'm done with this topic, it will go back to the dealer and we will see what they can do. Looks like the camping is done for the season they advised it will be at least 6 weeks and that's if they don't have to send it back. The dealer advised they are having a lot of problems with leaks on the newer models. Happy me.

[The moderators reviewed the thread. The OP's question was "Anybody like their hybrid?" We think the topic is a good one and will be allowed to remain open. Please play nice. Thanks]
