Awning Leak

Have had our 2015 23IKSS for about 5 months now and on a couple of occasions I have noticed a leak where the awning is attached to the camper. It is above the door and drips down the side of the camper and runs along the LED light strip. Two particular concerns is the water running along the camper and getting the top of the slide out wet, and the water ruining the LED strip.

Has anyone had this issue? Suggestions on repairs? Looks like there is some putty between the camper and the awning strip, if this is what has failed, the whole awning would need to be taken off and re-puttied. Should this be covered by warranty?

I had that on a previous Coleman popup. Turns out I had stretched the awning material too tight and it was pulling on the piece that attached to the roof. If lessening the tension doesn't help, put a bead of caulk along the top of the piece that attaches to the wall.
