Awning Over Slide

I was wondering if anyone has ever put an awning over the slide out by themselves? Was it easy to do? Where would be a good place to order it from? After 2 outings I think I would like to have this. I was amazed at the debris that had already accumulated on the slide out. Any advise would be appreciated.

I had dealer install mine. I'm somewhat handy but it was more than I wanted to handle.

I personally am scared silly of drilling holes in the outer skin of my trailer.

So the dealer installed my slide topper. Included in purchase of the trailer, but it looks like you are past that point.

Yes, I am past that point but the more talk the more I'm thinking I will just have to bite the bullet if I want it and have the dealer install it. Wish I would have had the foresight to have the dealer do it when I bought it. I would be scared to death to put holes in my trailer as well. THX for the info Radio

Yeah. I was just going to add that a short slide topper might be done alone but an awning that goes out over a slide is definitely a two man job.

X2 to the idea of paying a dealer....mine was ordered with a slide topper and forgotten (knuckle headed salesman) but the dealer did install post delivery. I looked at the job afterwords thinking....THAT doesn't look too bad, and "I would have done THIS different" but in the end......NOT ending up with extra holes in my new rig from measuring only once and drilling twice was a much better option. I think the biggest stopping point would just be your comfort level with drilling holes, the instructions are available on-line when you find the right manufacturers site maybe find and read them before you decide if you want to follow suite and pay a dealer or tackle it yourself.

On first camper had dealer install. I felt they done these many times before on other campers, would be easy for them.
On my next camper bought them installed from the factory add on option, found out it was way more cheaper than after market.
