Maybe I'm not understanding.

On our toppers, if there is leaves, limbs, water, etc, as the slide comes in, the topper rolls up with everything falling off as it rolls up. One time, a bird tried to build a nest on top of a slide(under the topper). Before leaving, I took my blower and blew the nest out.

When we get home from a trip, I wash everything off and let it dry before storing.

No problem.

Our salesman suggested we order the covers for our slides when we ordered our 5th wheel. Reading this, I'm so glad we did!!
