Awning stuck

I have a 2014 23 IKSS with the electric awning. It is stuck in the closed position. We are going camping 4th of July weekend and I would like to use the awning. It does nothing when I press the button to extend. When I press the button to retract it clicks as if it is trying to do so. Does anyone have any suggestions about how I might get it to extend? Since it tries to retract, I think I will be able to get it in again if I can first get it to extend. I am hoping not to have to take it in for expensive service.

Thanks. I will try that when my wife gets home. Home alone at the moment. Will get neighbor to help me pull and wife push button when she gets home from work.

Still cannot get the awning to budge. Thought maybe it could be in the switch since it doesn't even make a noise when we try to extend it. (Clicks and tries to move when I push retract).Click image for larger version

ID:	56165 Local dealer was no help. Drove 20 miles to get there and was told he couldn't help me with out vin# on the camper, which I didn't have with me. Gave him make and model # of camper and told him it has exact same switches for the slideouts. However, he said nothing he could do without vin #.

Try killing all power to it (pull fuse) and wait about 15 minutes then try again. I've seen this occur several times and killing power for a while was a simple fix. I don't know why, but the motor worked after it was disconnected a while. ?????

If the switch is in fact bad you should be able to "jump" it and make it work.
BTW it's no special switch.
Any automotive rocker switch with the same termination will work.

f1100turbo I agree that the switch is not special. The guy at the local rv dealership could have helped me if he had wanted to. I could replace it with any switch but I would like it to fit in the panel that the old one is in.

My point was kind of leading to the automotive one fitting in the same place.
I replaced my rocker for my slide "same as awning" from one from napa.
$8.00 less then the rv counter part.
Looked identical in fit form and function.

The awning uses a reversable dc motor. Why don't you just reverse the wires on the switch and see if it will extend when the retract side of the switch is actuated? This will test the switch to see if it is bad.
