Axle Grease?

Hi, all,

I noticed the last time we took the camper out that one of the sissors jacks (stabilizers) was kinda rusty. Didn't turn all that freely.

I am thinking of putting axle grease on the threads, but then thought..."That will just attract road dirt". So, now am wondering....What do YOU use to keep these lubricated?

Mine were the same. I sprayed some WD-40 on them and that took care of the problem.

On the bad side, I used WD-40 and then they wouldn't stay down, I had to clamp vise grips on them or they would back off on their own. Now I carry a small wire brush to clean off any heavy dirt, I would rather they go down a little hard then having them constantly backing off.

Nah - its a good question. Trust me that lots of folks have the same question

For what its worth, this is what I use to dry lube the stabilizers. Not greasy and does not attract dirt.
