Ball size 2008 Roo 23SS

Well we FINALLY bought a new to us Roo 23SS. We decided on this instead of the 233S because of the hitch weight difference. At any rate, we still have to bring it home and I thought the previous owner told us we needed a 2" ball but I couldn't remember so when I looked it up online it said 2 5/16"?? Are there 2 different sizes for the 2008?? Thanks for the help!

Bikendan provided your answer but I wanted to pass along the welcome letter .

Congratulations - and welcome to the Roo family!

There is another Roo camping a few sites down from us this weekend - of course we've shared our stories!

Aside from the third bed that really wasn't needed for my family in the 233s, I was initially concerned about the added tongue weight as well - right or wrong, I was dotting i's and crossing t's!

Happy Camping!

Thank you!! The previous owner actually used a 2" ball all 6 years he camped with it, he never knew it needed the 2 5/16" ball! We are really excited. We really could've used the extra bed but a new TV is not in the future anytime soon and we didn't want to exceed our pay load. We're used to a teeny tiny pop up anyway so this thing is a mansion for us HAHA! Thanks for the welcome!

he's very lucky he didn't lose his trailer! can't believe that, cause it should say on the coupler what size ball it takes.

Except for every car trailer I have owned and the one I own now, I have found out west the 2" ball is supper common until you get tot the bigger stuff.

Yes that's the first thing I checked when we picked it up and sure enough, right there on the coupler, same as the pic above LOL. He couldn't believe it. We brought both sized balls just in case because he insisted 2", there was A LOT of wiggle room with the 2" for sure.
