Bathroom Vanity Problem

Has anyone had any problem with the bathroom vanity top getting moisture from shower and expanding? We have only had our camper 8 months and camped 4 times. This weekend I noticed the edge against the shower is swollen and the formica/glue etc is coming off. We have a 2013 Rockwood Roo 23SS. We had a 2006 Rockwood 233 prior and never had this issue. It's basically the same shower, same curtain, etc but the layout is reversed. I can't figure out why it is occuring in the new camper and hope this would be a warranty item. I wonder if the shower curtain is the culprit, but again appears to be the same curtain as in older model. We always vent with fan after each shower.

Keep vent fan running during shower.
By the time you are turning it on after, some moisture from the shower will have already condensed on surrounding surfaces.

I use the shower on my 23 SS no issues.

Yep. Need the fan on from the beginning. Also need a window open somewhere in the unit to draw the air. Get good airflow.

Also check the factory issued shower curtain. It allows water to spray through it. Might need a liner or a different curtain.

My issue is that we never had a problem in the 2006 model and we take showers same way. I always have fan running. DW not during shower but vent is cracked. We may need to try a liner but again same curtain, shower process etc as our previous Roo with absolutely no problems. I plan on calling dealer after our upcoming trip. I wonder if the Formica wasn't installed properly or if curtains are normally treated with waterproofing and this one wasn't. Uploaded photos show more detail

Seems like "Exhaust fan running during showers" is a recurring theme.

Can't tell in the photo but is it water damage - like the surface is bubbling up? Or is it that the glue has let go? Wondering if the warm steam caused the glue to let go.

It looks like the pressboard wood is slightly swollen. Good point though. If glue let go and then it got wet it would explain. I also can't say for sure how the Formica looked on that edge when we purchased camper.
I appreciate comments on fan but we do vent (me during and after every shower, everyone else after each shower for sure) until everything is bone dry. . It's just really frustrating on a new camper when it didn't occur before as we are pretty meticulous.

Also, is this something I could fix easily myself?Any ideas on where I can find a liner at proper size?

I agree frustrating. I'd be upset too.

DIY fixes for laminate can be done on flat surfaces kinda easy but the glue can be super fast setting and really unforgiving. Honestly I probably wouldn't try unless I was going to replace the counter top anyway (if I made it worse). Call FR first and see what they say. I'll keep an eye on mine. It seems more like a defect rather than damage. First the defect then water got in kinda thing.

Oh and any shower curtain liner will work. Walmart or any other store. Your choice from a plastic one for a couple bucks up to a micro tech cloth one for $50. Mine was $3. Lol

Contacted Forest River today. Warranty department said they have seen cases like mine but couldn't say for sure how moisture got to the cabinet to cause damage. However it is a warranty item and they will replace entire vanity top. Still concerned how it could happen though. Will be watching new one closely!
