Battery Disco Nect

2016 NEW Roo 19, when sitting in the drive way should the Battery disconnect be on or off when I have the power cable connected to the 110 volt, I believe when using the household current it should be charging the battery, Right?

The disconnect switch should be deactivated so the battery can be recharged by the trailer's converter while plugged into shore power.
It should only be on when the trailer isn't being used and has no shore power.
Like in winter storage.

Yes, if battery is connected and you are plugged into shore (house) the system will charge the battery.
Do you have to have it on? No

Now if you are not plugged into shore power, you want to be sure and disconnect the battery to prevent the parasitic power drains that will leave you with a dead battery.

Careful. For us dummies the switch selector wording is backwards. Mine says "BATTERY DISCONNECT ON/OFF".

Now.......if the DISCONNECT is ON, to me, that should mean that the batteries are no longer in the loop, they're offline, they are disconnected. BUT NOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

So, mentally I just ignore the word "disconnect". I am tempted to take a paint pen and mark it out. Then it would simply be "Battery On" or "Battery Off".

See too much improper wording. The words On and Off describe the word DISCONNECT. So if DISCONNECT is ON it is DISCONNECTED, thus no power. You would think this stuff is made in another country, actually it's just made by aliens.

Now I am going to have to take another look at mine. This is my first coach with a factory switch installed. 50 years of camping and a fox and never seen anything quite like this. Thanks folks
