Battery Disconnect

Hello,
First time on posting here.
My question is on the appropriate position of the battery disconnect which in my camper is located next to the converter at the floor level under the refrigerator. My camper is a 2013 Rockwood Roo 23SS. The switch is silver and is a push/pull type.

I'm to understand this switch is to be used when the camper is not in use so that the battery does not get drained. Question: To disconnect the battery is the switch pushed in or pulled out?

Any other information on the proper use (do's and don'ts) of this switch would be much appreciated.

with you rig unconnected from shore power and the lights on turn or push the switch and you will get your answer. I do not know your unit or switch.

The switch is like an old fashioned car headlight switch. Pull out to turn on. Push in to turn off

So you want it out when you're using your TT and you push it in when you aren't. (Otherwise your battery will drain and be dead next time you want to use it.)

I notice you have listed your current an previous trailers along with your tow vehicle? Is that what I'm reading? Is that a typical things people do on this site? Additional question:

Is it normal for the converter to make a humming noise when the switch is puled out?

Yes, it's called your sig line. Most of us at least list tow vehicle and trailer, so others can see what you have, when you ask questions.

Yes, it's normal when plugged into shore power or generator, since the converter will start recharging the battery when it has 110v AC supply.

The OP has a 2013 and the disconnect switch was inside the trailer.
FR changed the switch location in 2015.
