Not sure what you turned off. My battery disconnect on a 2015 23SS is a plunger on the converter.

unless FR made another change, that's sounds like something the dealer did when installing the battery.

Trace those wires where they are connected to the battery and put them after the switch. Don't trust anything a dealer might do. Most dealer mechanics know less then I do. You want pos. off even trace any parasites, and move them to. Such as clock radio, and Co/mox. detector.

Not all disconnects are made equal. Mine still powers the slide, but I need to put my slide in/out to reach the disconnect. It's under the fridge past the slide.

The important thing with the disconnect is to shut down the parasitic loads, I.e. The carbon/propane detector, the radio, etc... You can still have power to lots of things as long as they don't use it you should be fine. You can check to see if there's any load at the battery with an Ampmeter while the disconnect is disconnected.

Still, if it's at the battery, I would have expected it to kill everything except maybe the tongue jack. I'd take a look and see where the wires go from the disconnect and try to figure out if it's actually disconnecting anything.

It is possible the disconnect was installed on the negative lead instead of the positive, and your trailer's finding ground via another source (tongue jack, stab jacks or grounding strap)?

Nope that's the discount. Went in it today and no power to anything . Must tale a bit to run the power out.

The disconnect would be instantaneous. Most likely you now have no power because your battery's dead from not being disconnected properly.

Did you try turning the disconnect off (I.e. Turn the power back on) and make sure you have power? Because that's how it should work, like a big kill switch. There shouldn't be any 'running the power out'.

He is a picture of it . It's right under the propane tanks in front of the battery box. Turned it on and had lights and turned it off and no lights. Don't know why I had lights for a bit before.
This must be something new instead of the plug on the inside. Mine is a 2015 with a manufacturing date of 8/18/2014

if that's factory, it's a new thing. i still think that it might be a dealer install, since i haven't seen any other new Roo/Shamrock owner with this switch setup.

Don't know didn't ask and they didn't say. Kind of like the placing keeps the little ones from messing with it

I have the same disconnect on my 8329, I like the placement as well.

Were you plugged into shore power or your tow vehicle when you had lights with the battery disconnect turned off? The converter would give you inside lights if its hooked up to 120V AC.

Our 2012 SB had the same BD switch - put the key in (attached to the lanyard) and turn to connect the battery. Turn the key to disconnect and remove the key.

Not a bad thing! Mine is located by the converter and easy to kick off with my foot if not careful.

Also easy for the kids to "what happens when I push this button?".
