Battery to use.

I have a 05 rockwood roo 17ft. Just wondering what type of battery do I need. Until now I have only used hydro hookup.

if you towing the trailer without a battery, you're probably breaking the law, at least in the U.S.
since the the trailer has electric brakes and a emergency breakaway switch, you need a battery hooked up in case the trailer separates from the tow vehicle, to activate the trailer's brakes.

if you always have electric(hydro)hookups, any cheap deep cycle 12v group 24 battery will do.

if you plan on doing some dry camping or boondocking, then you need to look at a two battery setup, either 12v or 6v deep cycle. either choice should have matching batteries.

I am a big fan of AGM batteries. They do cost more but will also last longer. Most have a full 3 year full replacement warranty. I also like the fact that they are sealed, no leaks or vapors. They make deep cycle and regular car batteries. I have them in both vehicles and my camper.

After buying three AGM deep cycle batteries for my home sump pump backup systems, I am quickly becoming a fan. There are some pretty big capacity ones for a reasonable price.

Amazon.com: PowerStar--12V 80AH Replacement Battery UB12750 Group 24, Marine Sealed Lead Acid Battery: Automotive

These were bigger than my OEM battery.

If you have the room here is a group 27 100 AH AGM

If room is no object, here is a 4D footprint (check the measurements and your available remaining payload) 200AH AGM.
