Bed Ends Leak - Rockwood Roo 19

Just returned from 3 days of camping. We had one day of rain (on the 2nd day); however during pack up we noticed that the mattress and bedding was wet (not damp). It appears that the moisture is coming from material between bed platform and the trailer (see attached). The did not see any signs of moisture on the bed walls or ceiling. After further looks, I noticed that many of the screws around the material were not actually screwed to the frame. Not sure if there is a connection between the water leak or not?

I sent an email to Gregg Rollins and waiting for reply. Very frustrating given that we paid top dollar and the trailer is only 3 months old.

Any feedback/advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hey Shawn,

From what I can see, you are missing the rubber sleeve that covers the joint when the bed is open. My 183 has a black rubber piece that is attached inside and to the bed door so that the mattress doesn't sit on the material. As to the screws not being attached, it looks like something is pulling on the material, ie, it is stretched too tight?

remember all stitching needs to get wet for it to swell before it becomes watertight, if this was first time it got wet, this may be normal.
