Best option for bikes on a roo

I would like to keep the bikes out of the bed of the truck. On my pop up we had a bike rack on the roof that held all 5 bikes . I'm guessing there is not a 5 bike rack option on a roo but I hope we can get a least 4 on a rack ? Any advice photos ect would be greatly appreciated

This subject is hotly debated all the time.
Suggest you first do a search here, on bike rack.
That should give you weeks of reading.
But transporting 5 bikes is not going to have many choices.
I think a truck bed rail setup is about the only safe solution.
That will still give you most of the bed back, for storage.

Here is what I came up with. I also had a pop up with a rack for 5 bike's on top. I kept the bike rails and made this for the pick up. Easy and cheap. I might make it out of some light weight metal soon.

Allcool:

Someone on here installed those bed rails that run from the front stake pocket to the back pocket, then built cross rails across them (which would be above a tonneau cover, if it was the rollup kind), then attached Yakima or Thule roof rack type bike holders on the cross rails. I think he made the cross rails out of C-channel that they use for electrical work, see here:

Try doing some thread searching and you might find his pic.

We bolted a hitch receiver on to the axle of our old KZ and bought a tray to carry additional gear. I think you could use a hitch mount bike rack on one of these.
