What do you want to know?

They are electric drum brakes that require a brake controller to function.

Yes what Bikendan said.
Easy Lube Axles and Nev-R-Adjust Brakes, electric drum brakes. May be different for other years but this is what my 2014 has.

As previously stated, you will need a brake controller, no big deal using the, just read the directions and learn how to set it up to your liking.

The Roo/shamrock brakes seem to work very well while towing and seem to be nicely engineered.

Once you get them all set up you will forget the trailer has brakes and you just drive.

No, the towing vehicle needs a brake controller as example below, aftermarket installation required......unless you already have an integrated brake controller in your vehicle....

As fonzie said, your tow vehicle is where the brake controller goes.
And the vehicle has to have the factory tow package, in order to install one

You need to post what your tow vehicle is and its specs. Also if it has factory tow package.

True if you want plug and play. But you can wire one just about into any vehicle if you don't mind doing the wiring yourself.

Most newer trucks come with brake controllers, but you can search you tube for instructions on how to install on any vehicle

Well, you need to confirm that it has the factory tow package. Since it has the tow/haul switch, it probably does.

As far as I know, the Tundra doesn't come with a factory brake controller.
You'll need a WDH with sway control.

Here are the Etrailer.com brake controllers that fit your Tundra. They all say they are for "factory 7-way" or "factory 4-flat".

2013 Toyota Tundra Brake Controller | etrailer.com

Looking at a 2013 Tundra brochure, it looks like the tow package (including brake control pre-wire) is standard on the Regular Tundra, double cab Limited, and CrewMax Limited and Platinum. It says it was "available as part of a package" on the double cab Tundra and CrewMax Tundra, but I couldn't figure out which package.

You also have a tow/haul switch. So there's a very good chance you have the pre-wire for the brake controller.

In any case, click on the first one (for example) and scroll down and there will be a video on how to install it. It should show where the under dash connector is located. You can then look under your dash and see if you have it.

I used the P3 Prodigy on my 2009 Silverado. Worked great.

Good luck.

I have a Wireless Brake Controller.
It works very well, you don't need to mess with the tow vehicle to install it and if you change your tow vehicle you can take it with you easily.

I had a 2015 Tundra before getting my Chevy.

If yours is like mine, there is a connector affixed up underneath the dash just to the right of the steering column. When you buy your brake controller, you need to get a wiring harness specific to a 2013 Tundra which will allow you to connect the controller to the aforementioned connector. Then all that's left to do is attach it to the dash per the manufacturers instructions.

I had a Tekonsha P3 Prodigy which had to be mounted so it faced parallel with the motion of the vehicle. I mounted it low on the dash, just above my right knee but high enough so I didn't hit it.
