Brand New 2014 23RS ROO

Well I decided to give FR another chance.......well all I can smell in my new RV after 1 trip is CRAP.... our BRAND NEW RV smells like CRAP...has anybody else had this? I went from owing the Titanic taking on water 2012 roo to a crap mobile and thinking if I light the stove we might blow up!!!!!!!! I honestly can say now quality control..........LOL LOL LOL

If you have a dometic model 300 plastic toilet it may be defective. Check to see if the smell is stronger from the rear of the toilet, you maybe able to see liquid in the gap in the rear. Easy fix with an upgraded toilet. There is a post on the forum about the subject

Well thank you KyDan I phoned and new toilet 9am tomorrow morning. I still very mad at Dometic and Forest River, phoned my dealer had no clue on defective toilets and FR for not making customers aware. I removed toilet just now and the smell followed the toilet to my driveway. The toilet is still full of urine and water, this is more then a defect this is a F... UP..... the smell IN MY TRAILER IS DISGUSTING. FR should have been notified by Dometic and all new purchasers notified and re-reimbursed for a major inconvenience.

Is this only on 2014 or could be on a 2013 too? How do you tell what model number toilet you have ?

I am so with you on quality control. I also get tired of hearing that FR is "just an assembler" who uses other companies parts in their trailers and therefore are not responsible. I understand this....to a point but also say if they become aware that these "others" are selling junk they need to stop buying from them. I'm sure if you read my posts you know i've had water problems, refrigerator problems and today a sliced TV cable problem. (easy fix) I am also a realist who understands nothing is perfect but.....what we're talking about here seem to be problems that can be fixed and should never happen. I can't believe somewhere out there some company does not have an idea for a process where canvas can be sewn without it leaking. Just seems the "seasoning" method is not the cure.

I have a 2013 and it had a defective 300 series toilet.
