The hair dyer places a pretty good load on the circuit. Easier to carry than a vacuum cleaner. We used to test them with one of the plug-in style checkers with the lights, had a mad customer or two the first time wife plugged the hair dryer in and it didn't work, or the electric skillet.

I work at a dealership where we try to test everything before the customer picks it up. Not all dealers are this way, as I understand. Read this forum and you will find a lot of stuff the dealer should have corrected before the customer got the trailer. Read enough and you wonder how some of the stuff left the factory. Just trying to help you out.

If this is true then I am somewhat concerned about my 5000# cap TV.Yellow sticker shows a dry weight of 3545#.
it would help knowing what tow vehicle you have, engine size, rear end ratio, factory tow package or not, and how many will be riding in it.

If we're going to try and do this again, I suggest they start their own thread. This one is getting long. Then they can post their tow tow vehicle, trailer, weights, etc. Otherwise we'll get confused over who's question we're trying to answer.

I'll respond to JFGuyer with a PM and my tow ratings etc. Hopefully that will keep the duplicate threads to a minimum.
