How attach

Look Great. How do they attach to the camper above the ends?

Thanks. It attaches using the same type of rail that the main awning uses. Same type that boats use for Bimini Tops and canvas covers. Very Strong and easily slides in and out of the track.

Definitely super easy to tear down, you can do the entire tear down from the ground. As the setup requires you to get on the bunk to slide the awning in to the track (which only takes about 2 mins).

I will have more info later when i make a write up and have MUCH better pics.

This is awesome. We left home in December and are in California now. We always have our PUGS and reflexit on. Some of the days we had to scramble out and take our PUGS off due to high winds in Corpus Christi, Galveston, Gila Bend. This idea is great!! And very nice looking. Keep us updated on the project.

Bunk end covers

Looks Good!!!
I'm in the process of doing something similar but elected to use insulated tarps that have 1/8 inch of foam between the layers. The channel and bead on the trailer end is simple enough but I'm not sure about support on the ends. How did you secure the short stand pipes to the bunk fold outs?

I like the concept. It would be much more convenient if it could be deployed and stored on the wall without total removal. Similar to a bag awning.

Sent from my secret hardened bunker.

As an FYI, I am very pleased with my results and abilities to sew! as a result of this, I am in the process of working with several boat and awning manufacturers to produce these. I will update you all, if interested, with details.

Again these will not compete with the low cost of PUGs but will compete on looks, durability, setup and overall satisfaction.

Maybe but if not black Oyster color then, I am looking at this more to protect the tent end and not hear the rain then for heating and cooling 😜

Hearing the rain is the best part of a hybrid!

I will admit sometimes but sometimes it can be annoying if it pours like it did in November on one of my trips, all weekend long ugh

Well I can certainly entertain the idea of producing other colors. Sure. It really comes down to cost and what the manufacturer can or is willing to accommodate. So the two colors I was thinking to fit most types of hybrids is Dark Brown and Black.

As for the comment about the heat, This awning provides shade and an air gap for cooling of the inside bunk. On a hot sunny day, these awnings will provide excellent airflow to keep the bunk and the air inside cool. They also provide much needed shade for the interior (about 70% of the bunks' surface area is shaded with the awning) to even reduce the need for reflectix in the windows as well. Plus it looks good and you can open your windows in the rain!!!! (the reflectix and solar blankets cant do that)

If everything goes well in the meeting, I can hone in on a production cost and First Run test fit, then I will have pricing. I will probably start a group-buy to get the best prices for you and to expedite the process of getting these. Everything is better in numbers.

I will still need to find a powdercoater and welding shop for the brackets and such. I assume White hardware or Black hardware will be the colors people will want, so those will be the choices.

You still hear the rain, but it is much more subdued. We were out in the trailer to do some testing and evaluation and it was pouring cats and dogs out. It still sounded like rain, but was way more subdued. We like that much better
