Bunk end clasps

All thee of my bunk ends look like they need some adjusting --- had a dealer tell me this clasp looked correct --- there is no way this was designed to hold the bunk end - or am I missing something?

Would love to upgrade these clasps -- anyone know of a better option?

OK, I'll bite. That appears very close to mine. Hasn't been a problem nor have I heard/read of any complaints. Have you heard of any issues with the latch? There are quite a few other items we could sit down over a coffee and chat about, but the latch isn't one.

Looks a little low to me. See my thread about adjusting the clamps. I just posted a reply to the folks who gave me the information.

Regards,

what's a good lube to use on the bunk seal to keep it from sticking to the camper body?

We use slide out seal conditioner on all our seals at least twice a year

To me, the latch installation in that picture is incorrect. Not much in positive engagement.
If that was on a side or aft bunk on my 2017 Roo 233s I would be afraid of the bunk coming open while traveling. I personally don't like this latch design, I think the nylon parts will fail. They didn't offer another type, so not much could do about it.
Happy camping

You can. I don't have the time to list how I adjusted mine but it's a combination of removing the assembly, turning the rod which is threaded, and possibly having to remove and relocate pieces.

Other than being plastic it's actually not a bad system, it just needed to be installed correctly the first time and everyone knows what a crapshoot that is.

Call or email Kencons support.
