Bunk end door sealant

I wanted to know what the best silicone/caulk is to use to reseal the outer door seams of my Rockwood Roo 21SS. A picture is attached to show exactly what I want to reseal.

Do not use silicone on the exterior of your trailer. Nothing will stick to it in the future. Go to your local RV store and ask for a nonsilicone calk for vertical surfaces.

cavie, this thread is in the Hybrid section and the OP is talking about a Hybrid bunk door.

Hybrids do use silicone for the bunk doors and the canvas tent ends.

When I had the Roo I only used Geocel ProFlexRV caulk on the walls and the doors.

https://www.amazon.com/Geocel-28100V.../dp/B001FC98X2

I redid the caulk on the door frames that's falling apart in the OP's picture.
I masked it off with painter's tape and applied the ProFlexRV caulk in a bead about 1/4" wide. I had to redo that caulk the year after the bunk doors were replace due to delamination of the original bunk doors.

The only silicone product I ever used was a silicone spray lubricant for the batwing antenna.

My 2007 Roo had silicone along the bunk door frame and along where the canvas attached to the wall.

IIRC, our 2009 Roo had some kind of caulk - probably silicone based - around where the canvas met the door frame. I never personally used any silicone based caulk on it though.

Geocel. Works great but can be messy like any other silicone stuff.

I don’t know but I’d stick with Geocel ProFlexRV. That’s the application it was designed for and it will last for quite a few years. I’m not big on all that “as seen on TV” type stuff.

Would never use that stuff on a RV.

There are many products on the market that will work I personally am I big fan of GEOCEL products. Silicone is a once and done sealant, nothing will stick to it after it's cured so there are no second chances at getting the seal right. If you've lost the original seal that was silicone you're in for quite the cleaning job to prepare it for resealing. There is a lot of information on google about to to remove old silicone so you can reseal
