We are heading there in June. We stayed at Ocean Lakes Family Campground, and have reservations there again. It's a great place.

Myrtle Beach State Park is the place to camp in March. Off the beach and surrounded by trees. Keeps the wind down...Weather can be tricky. Weekends are usually booked. Just to let you know no alcohol.

We'll be at Willow Tree from March 15th through the 19th. It's not on the beach, but still one of our favorite campgrounds. The weather will be great for sitting in our private hot tub in our site.

We stopped there last March 12th to 15th on our way back from a month's stay in south Florida. We stayed at the KOA since we visited friends that were camped there. Nice park, friendly staff. The weather was cloudy, no rain, but windy and compared to south Florida COLD, high of about 60 to 65 and cool enough at night to have to run the heat. Our friends said it's better than the snow back home, that is true, however, coming from temperatures in the 80's for that past month it was cold to us. The wife and I both agreed we should have stayed the extra time in Florida and not made the extra stop on the way home. We would go back but not until later in the year, perhaps April or even May.

Lakewood Campground. If the wind is calm the days can be real nice,, but the nights will be cold.

Ocean lakes!!! Love it there! Love being right there on the beach. Good ice cream shop there. The snack bars are all reasonably priced Its a little tight but I have to say most down there. The golf cart parade each night is fun for the kids. Bath houses are clean. Great pool with wonderful kid pool. Easy to get in and out. We never leave the campground when we go. Last summer we just left our camper there ended up there at least once a month. We go back April but will bring it home this time. Want to spend more time close to home and four wheeling since we have the 21ssl

We've been to Myrtle Beach Travel Park, Ocean Lakes and Lakewood. All are very nice places, but we were there at the end of June each time by the beach. I wouldn't recommend being by the beach in March with the constant breeze of the ocean. The further from the beach at any of these three the better for camping in March.
