Can I tow a 2011 233S?

Hi there,
My hubby and I are torn between a 2005 Surveyor and a 2011 Roo 233S. I am just wondering if you guys think I can tow the Roo with an '02 Jeep Cherokee Laredo, V6 (inline). Thoughts?

Thanks!

2011 Roo 233S Dry weight 4134 lbs. cargo capacity 1833 lbs. Gross vehicle weight 6310 lbs. unloaded tongue weight 531 lbs.

Your Jeep has a 5000 lb tow capacity if it has the towing package. Too much trailer for your tow vehicle. Sorry. I wouldn't tow anything heavier than 4000 lbs. GVWR if you have the tow package. Just my humble opinion.

probably not.
need more information about your Jeep. and it can't be a v6 if it's inline.

Woops. I meant inline 6.

This would be very disappointing. We finally found a trailer we could see ourselves in for a long time.

Your 'tow vehicle' is also 12 years old. This should also be considered when looking at a camping unit. Age does add to issues and should not be over looks.

We have a 2011 233S and original towed with our 2008 Trailblazer. After a 400 mile trip we decided to upgrade our tow vehicle to a RAM 1500. The Trailblazer could tow the camper, but every time I would come up along a semi the wind would push the vehicles back and forth

I think the tongue weight will be the killer first.

What was the towing capacity of your trailblazer? We would never be taking long trips, driving only 2 hours, maybe 3 at the very most, at a time. And the Jeep is in great shape. Now my dh is looking at trading in for a V8. LOL. What have we gotten ourselves into??

If you like the trailer get it, just get it with another tow rig, please.
