Can you tell me more about this. I have a Chev silverado

My apologies to all ... Apparently I have no power to the TV plug connector that feeds the 12 v charging line to the trailer battery. The rest of the plug is properly energized. That'll teach me trying to diagnosis problems while being eaten by Mosquitos and sprayed with the hose by a 6 year old.

So obviously my Chev silverado have a wire that needs to be connected. Now I have to find it.

Check for the wire mentioned in post#9. You may need to put in a 40amp fuse in the under hood fuse box. There may be a "dummy" fuse in the slot now.

On the driver side lean over the fender at the big fuse box you will see a heavy wiring harness there is a wire with a round terminal on it taped back on the harness, it goes to one of the two live terminals at the front of the box you will see them when the lid is removed.

Woo hoo. You guys are good. I have power. Wired to big fuse block. And it did have a dummy fuse in place. I have to get a proper fuse but it works with power to the plug.

You say it should have a 40 amp is that right ?

If you were closer to me I'd buy you guys a beer.

Check your electric brake circuit, too. It also has to be hooked up by the owner on Silverado/Avalanches. It goes on the other live terminal at the front of the fuse box, and it needs a 30 amp fuse. The wire is taped to the wiring harness between the engine and the fuse box down by the master cylinder. You'll need an M10 and an M8 nut for them (don't remember which is which). And don't pull the fuse box up to put the wires on the terminals. I understand that will get you a trip to the dealer, but not sure why. There are some video's on etrailer.com I think.
