We just got back today from a camping trip. Around the campfire one night I filled in DW on the 2016 changes to the IKSS. After 44 yrs. of marriage you get to know someone and I was dreading telling her about the curved glass shower doors as she'll be wanting modifications. She hit me with, "Glass doors! I hate glass shower doors. Hard to keep clean. That's why we no longer have them at home. I prefer curtains."

I can understand that! I have long arms and I could see myself smacking those hard doors anytime I wash my hair. I constantly hit the curtain in my dk and the tub is huge. The hard doors sure look nice though!

Appears they turned the toilet slightly sideways instead of square to accommodate that.

Another eeek. They moved the outside TV hookup to behind the kitchen slide. Besides not where I'd want it (too close to the sleeping kids), not very well covered for those freak rain storms.

And still, those outside speakers should be on the slide and not on each side. Unless you're partying at the neighbor's site, you will never hear both speakers while on your site.

OK. So I think I figured this 2016.5 out. Because they had to make the bathroom so much bigger, they had to move the slides forward. And they had to make the wardrobe smaller. Can't have the door on the isle since it would be too narrow to hang anything. A lot to give up to add shower doors and a bigger shower.

So you think there would be no way to put that shower with the doors in a late 2015 23IKSS?

Not unless you remove the toilet and vanity...

That pan certainly looks longer in both directions along the 2 walls. I agree with Deartruc, new shower is nice, but you give up a lot to get it. Too much IMO. I always figured if FR added a shower like that to this floorplan they would have to stretch the length a foot or two. I think the designers did a good job of making it fit in the existing space, but I'll keep my '13 rather than take the rest of the changes to the new design.

And I'm still glad we have the original kitchen slide with the pass-through to the outside from the base cabinet and actual drawers that was changed early on. That little pass through is one of the things I really like.

I don't have that pass thru you are talking about but I do like my 2015.

It just doesn't seem the doors and basin extend out further then my 2015 does, would have to ask FR for exact specs I guess
