I'm a 23ikss owner and tow it with a chevy Tahoe. It has a 5.3 v8 with tranny cooler (aftermarket) and brake controller (aftermarket) and a 3.73 rear end. I'll be 100% honest and please take my experience as just that... An experience as I am not trying persuade you one way or another. I have a shorter wheel base than is calculated as "ok" in what is a commonly accepted number (http://davidsrvtips.blogspot.com/200...-long.html?m=1
). However with the 4 pt equalizer hitch i felt ok to do it. (Had to figure out my weights as my rawr was over). I live in Texas and there has been once or twice that I got a little nervous due to the wind making my trailer get a little squirrelly. Outside of the air suspension and lack of wdh I think your numbers look good. Wheel base length I believe will be the scariest part. Another piece of advice that I can give is to never go off of what other people do. Why you ask? A) they don't pay your insurance for TV or HTT B) it's not their family inside the TV. C) some people do dumb things (they are led by the "experts" at the dealerships). This is why this is all just advice and experience and you have to make your own decision. If something happens or you aren't happy, you can tell us all about it, but we aren't in the hook for it :-). (I hope you catch my meaning behind this). We love camping and being outside, and I get excited when people want to buy travel trailers (I've helped 3 friends buy them) but I am also a sworn member of the weight police.
We love the ikss, and the room that it has inside and out. We have 3 kids (4,2,1) and have fit 4 adults, 2 pack and plays and 1 kid on the couch and still had the dinette. We have had one leak issue above the slide out in kitchen that we are trying to find source of (dealer didn't help with this). But other than that we have really really enjoyed it.
The other thing to consider is bear country. Living in Colorado, even in a HTT you have to abide by the bear camping rules with food I do believe.
Let me know if you have any questions I can answer
