Post Cover for illuminated switch lights

Our 2015 23SS has the switches just inside the door on the left side on an upper cabinet. The Water Pump and Water Heater switches are illuminated when on (blue, but doesn't matter). Has anyone come up with something that looks nice to cover those up so the bunk end is not bathed in blue light at night time? Yes, I know I can pull the curtains. I saw a new camper with a hinged box around them at a RV Show. I was thinking something that rolls up or down or a miniature curtain rod. Photos would be great if you have done something

I took a suction cup and hung it above there with a dish towel hanging from it. Worked great.

I am now too lazy for that and I just turn my water heater off. Considering you are probably not hooked up to electricity and water, my advice was less than worthless.

Black electrical tape cut to size?

we turn our red water pump switch off at night, since there's no reason to leave it on.
if someone needs water during the nite, simply turn it back on until you're done.

and there's no need to keep the DSI switch on for the propane side of the WH.
the water will stay hot for most of the nite.
if you have hookups, the electric side will keep the water hot overnite and there's no lighted switch for that.

just wondering why you need to keep both on all nite.

I keep our outdoor under awning light on at night sometimes, but I cover the blue light with a towel that I drape from the top of the door to one of the cabinets in my 23ss

That little light can brighten the place up at night, no doubt.

We have done all of the above...but now it just makes sense to simply turn it off overnight, saves propane and the H2O remains hot all the way till morning anyway.

Most illuminated switches have a separate terminal for the ground for the light.

undo the screws holding the panel in, and simply remove the ground wire from the back of switches in question. The switch will work as usual, but the light will not come on. all you need is a screwdriver.

Thanks all for your replies. Hot water Switch I was turning off at night, but the heater has to run quite a while in the morning to warm back up (40's-50's at night). And the water pump just for bathroom uses, so wife doesn't have to find the switch in the dark.

or just cover up the top part of the switch with black electrical tape. That blue LED sure lights up the whole trailer at night eh? When my daughter stayed with us one weekend, I just turned off the water pump when we all went to bed. There was enough pressure for the toilet to flush. I use the electrics for the water heater, so that light doesn't come on
