Doing something similar. Roll of the reflective bubble wrap from CW.

Sewed a layer of heat resistant material made for microwaveable sewing projects on top of that.

Working on covering with material to provide some design etc on it.

Will see Velcro in the reflective side and then will be able to put up or take down as desired.

Will post some pics of the different stages.

Taking a while since I had to learn how to use a sewing machine [emoji3]

On one particularly hot trip we improvised. Tossed a beach towel over the skylight and weighted the corners with rocks.

Seemed to work. Didn't cost anything.

Don't forget it's up there...

Not a solution for a cover but one thing that drives me crazy about the outside cover is that it is installed backwards. The bubble should be to the front and then taper to the back. Somebody somewhere actually designed the cover with aerodynamics in mind and then some installer with no knowledge of aerodynamics installed it backwards. I don't know much about aerodynamics but I know enough what shape a raindrop makes as it falls, and that's opposite my shower bubble.

Cover options for bath skylight in 23IKSS

Ok. Here are the pics of one I finally finished. Will be using command Velcro strips on the inside of the skylight to install so will be removable.

Initial piece of the chrome bubble wrap cut to fit the inside lip dimensions.

Then sewed a layer of microwaveable material on the side that will be facing inside the coach. This is made for putting potatoes in and cooking in the microwave so should be good lite weight insulation material.

Next a layer of better looking material. Waiting for the wife to pick some decorative material if she want to dress it up and I’ll make another using that.

Then on the side that will face the skylight Velcro all the way around.

Will be doing the same thing for the skylight above our bathroom sink.

Will be going out to storage this week so will post the installed pic then but I think you get the idea.

Maybe $10 total in materials not counting the sewing machine I bought and the time to learn how to use it.

Will just cover the clear part and the lip around that where it is all the same height.

There are skylight covers but are 14 x 14.
I just cut a piece of foam and covered with reflective material, reflectix on one side.
Keeps the heat down thru shower skylight.

You can get the roll of static cling (no adhesive. So no mess long term) easy to take off and change.
I got mine from Home Depot, but online since store selection isn't as good. After you plan out your design center and measure to sides... cut a little more 1/8" all around than the flat plastic glass.
After cleaning glass and dry, spray mist of water all over glass. Apply correct side of static cling to glass. It's just like putting on any window film. Use credit card or stiff card stock, no metal to squeegee out bubbles and water from center. Use the thin card to tuck the little excess under the lip.
Looks nice, cuts down light. If guy you need the block out, I still use my insert that I mentioned in post before.
