Digital Thermostat

Any good recommendations on a digital thermostat for the 23IKSS? Are they easy to install?

I replaced a Coleman Mach analog with a Honeywell RTH111. It doesn't support 2 fans speeds unless you modify it with an extra switch, but it's only about $22. You can pick either fan speed and go with that. It uses batteries instead of 12VDC power, unlike the Coleman Mach. See attached wiring pic.

Another alternative is a Coleman Mach digital, which is a direct replacement, but it's a bit pricey, about $90 I think.

Others will probably chime in. Almost anything at Home Depot will work. The RTH111 isn't programmable, but for a couple bucks more, there are similar programmable models.

Thanks Rockfordroo! I wasn't sure what model my analog was to convert to digital. Are all A/C units the Coleman Mach? I did see another post the digital mach 3 from Amazon for $60.

Not all units are Coleman Mach....but if you have a Coleman analog you can easily replace with the Coleman digital...super easy to replace...its wire for wire. Good thing is the digital one will have a degree variance of 1 degree vs the 3 or 4 your analog one has so your temps will be much more even. While you are at it, when you replace the stats, put a bit of insulaton in the hole in the wall to prevent the stat from getting false readings from a very warm or very cold hollow wall. I replaced ours with the Amazon stat...it was a Coleman Mach and Amazon had the best price....about $50 less than my local RV dealers and shipping was free. Very glad I made that modification.
