Dodged a bullet.
Opened up the 233s today to dewinterize and guess what. Some little friends camped out in it over the winter. Thank God not much damage. 3 rolls of toilet paper, chewed camping sign and the wood cover that covers up the heater. Chewed a hole and took the stuffing out of the mattress cover. But left the rest of the camper alone. Just had to vacuum a lot of it's droppings. Yuck!

I hate mieces to pieces. Can't remember who originally said that but it's true. What preventative steps did you take?

We have moth balls in plastic bowls with holes drilled in the lid. Seems to keep bugs and critters out. Neighbors had a class C that squirrels do a lot of damage to wiring and under carriage. They have a 4/10 shotgun and have just about wiped them out. Very seldom see any where around here. Rats with bushy tails

X2 on the peppermint oil. Make sure you get essential oil of Peppermint ( not the food grade stuff). Put a a few drops of oil on cotton balls in an old glass or ceramic cup and place in rig. The oil will damage flooring and furniture, so keep it in the class or cup. I have been using for 10 yrs and no mice. Parked next to the garage that has mice every winter. Much better smelling than moth balls.

I use the peppermint oil, glue traps and fill all the gaps around the water and propane piping with Greatstuff expanding foam with pestblock. I sprinkle Shakeaway around the tires, stabilizers and jack and bought screening to cover the furnace and hot water heater vents to keep the little buggers out

Did the mouse go for the marshmallow on the sign? Probably picked that mouse up from a campground.

Had them in my last HTT. They ate through my front bunk canvas and chewed up (and died) in the mattress. Year after year of fighting with those bad boys (making nests with dryers sheets and the card board from the moth ball box) in my stove...until, a stray cat showed up. I get a dead mouse deposited at my garage door each morning when I go out to feed him. He follows me around when I'm working on the camper.

Yes you are probably right about PETA people.
But to all the PETA people... "May a diseased squirrels blow brown bubbles in your bath water" - Carnak.
A rodent is a rodent is a rodent............. You will never know the thousands of dollars of damage squirrels can do to your property. I have had as many a twenty at one time in my yard. Eating holds in the siding of my house not to mention damage to personal goods in my TT and storage building. You can't keep them out. Maybe I should cut down all twenty five trees in my yard and maybe they would leave? Sorry for the rant.......... I just don't like squirrels.

CATS are the BEST tho!! We had that problem in our 25' A\S one yr. and put the pair(brother and sister) in there for a few days. Food\water\litter box\heat, of course, helped and we checked them often. However, tho they were not super happy with us they solved
the problem and nailed a few prizes for us (and them). Never had the problemo again!
Just sayin...
