Easy way to remove old rubber seal sticky stuff?



Any suggestions on removing sticky stuff?

3m makes an adhesive remover in both a can and spray. The spray is much more mild than the can- I have removed paint with the can stuff. Try to scrape off as much of the black stuff

Got 1 bed done. What I found worked well was Goof Off Ultimate Remover. Made life much easier.
Tomorrow I will replace the front seal. Then 2 more beds to go.

After removing this stuff on 1 bed I can't image it only taking a dealership 1.5 hr in labor to replace all 3 bed seals. If so I'm thinking they ripped the old seal off and placed the new one on.
Glad to be doing it ourselves.
