Emptying black tank

Im having problems with the black tank emptying completely. The waste seems to be stuck in the top of the tank. The bottom of the tank empties and I'm left with a half full tank. This is a new 23isk Roo

If you're going by the tank idiot lights, suggest you do a search about them.
Basically they aren't reliable.
Your experience is quite common in the RV world.

As Ford said, you need a flush or spray device to clear the cheap tank sensors.

I agree with bikendan. It could also be your sensors. You can sometimes clean them, after you empty the tank, add several gallons of water & a lot of ice cubes. As you are driving on your way home they slosh around & tend to "clean" the interior. Might help, no guarantee.

How are you determining that it is stuck to the top of the tank? Inquisitive souls want to know.

Are you adding a chemical treatment to break down the solids? Liquified waste can't get stuck???

I use the Geo method (you can google it) - mix 2 cups of powered laundery soap with Calgon water softener and dump 5 gallons of water into the black tank prior camping. I put in the toilet chemicals when I arrive at the campground.

After dumping, I back flush the tank and put a rinsing wand down the toilet throat. Once clean, I then put laundery soap and Calgon back in the clean tank with 5 gallons of water and I'm ready to go the next time camping.

Hi, Dave.

Do you run a hose through a window of your trailer when using the wand?

I've done that twice when I am camping with full hookups.

No, my rinising is done at home. I carefully run my garden hose through the trailer door. If I camped with full hook ups, I would run it through the window at the campsite.

I beleive you can buy an adapter that allows a hook up to the bathroom faucett.
