A little background: when I met the delivery driver to pick up my 233s late in April, the dealer by mistake sent me the Equalizer 6000/600 4-way sway system. That was not set up properly. I had no tools and was unable to get things moved where they needed to so we made the 700 mile trip home set up improperly. The rear of the truck was squatting a little and the front of the trailer was sloped in. See first picture, hard to tell from that angle.

Fast forward to last week. The dealer sent me the correct hitch I asked for, the Equalizer 10000/1000 4-way sway system. Today I got a good preliminary setup with the new hitch with "most" of the weight I would have on board when going camping save for a cooler full of food. I say preliminary because I am about 20 miles away from a CAT scale. Got things set up so the truck barely squats 3/4 of an inch, the front suspension is within 1/8 of an inch of original height and the trailer is completely level.

I know I need weights to get things set up properly, but I'm pretty satisfied with how everything feels. My only thing I am going to research a little more is the hitch angle. Last two pictures are the setup I performed today. Any tips for my trip to the CAT scale?

Thanks for all the info FRF!

Glad to hear you have the correct bars now and good job setting it up.

The FRF library has a number of descriptions. Here's one from Herk...

Forest River Forums - Downloads - How I weigh a Travel Trailer

And the link to some others in the Library...

Great!

That library continues to grow. Lots of good stuff. I'm glad it has what you need.
