Eternabond all the Seams?

My '99 is in rough shape. I keep having to caulk and re-caulk the exterior seams, and I'm getting tired of it. So, my thought is to use the Eternabond roof-tape to actually tape all the corner seams around the exterior of the camper, as well as around the bunk doors. Has anyone ever seen this done and, if so, do you know how it's worked?

(yes, I know it's expensive, but it'd be worth not having to caulk every 6 months)

Eternabond is a good way to seal up seams and around skylights, vents, etc. It is well documented in both this forum and other RV forums. I would tape everthing you can. I am going to tape the seams of my new trailer probably this fall despite having a 2 year warranty. The key to it is having a good base for the tape to stick. You need to use their primer or acetone to clean the surface. It is also recommended to use their metal roller so you can apply good pressure so the nano sticky beads or whatever it's called is activated.

Skylights and vents are one thing, but I want to Eternabond everything, right down to the bottom of the trailer, including around the bunk-end hatches for good measure.

After some searching, I found a couple of folks who've used Eternabond on the seams of their camper bodies:

This person used it for leaks:

This person used it for corner repair:

So, while not common, this appears to be a viable fix so long as I can make it look good. I think I'll test it on the worst spots and see how it goes. ^_^

I don't know if you can make it "look good", but it would probably solve most of your issues. Eternabond bonds very well as long as the surface is very clean, as previously noted.
But if you are using it on the sides, be aware that the white backing material might come off eventually. I believe I saw someone complain about that, but cannot remember where. But if it did, I suppose you could always put a new layer over the old.
