Extended warranty

My Roo is now 3weeks old. Does anyone know about extended warranty coverage? Before I make this sizable purchase, ($2500 for seven years), it would be nice to known if it is worth it. There is a $100 deductible and Camping World said it is bumper to bumper.

That's alot of money, Being your unit is new check to see if you can get the 2nd year from FR at 150.00. If you get the CW one it will not kick in until you use up the FR. So really you will get 6 years only. Call FR and tell them your dealer did not offer it to you. I think that the ROO is covered. I wouldn't get CW anyway I look at what other people bought. I got Cornerstone. Lost two years because of the FR I had. Now I had to replace my blower motor and both fans on the A/C they covered it with my deductible only. Mine is bumper to bumper to but it is transferable our I can op out at anytime. So what I paid it's used 1/3 of the cost already. I still have 41/2 years left. Check FR first then look around. $2500 is pretty high. Some members say no way and others say yes. I'm on the yes side. My bill was 535.00 for just a motor and the blower fan and condenser fan. I paid 100.00 for it. It is also transferable if you buy a new RV as I did for 50.00. If you don't like the Plan it's prorated and you get back what's left.

Generally not worth it. Get the one year extended from Forest River. I think it is $125.

We bought an extended warranty with our 2008 Georgetown 374, and it has paid for itself already......a great investment...

Extended warranties are a hot topic. My opinion is there are more losers than winners otherwise no one would sell them. Our Roo is 3 years old and we have had no issues where we would have used it. Most of the major components are covered by the individual manufacturers for multiple years. Forest River was offering a 2nd year warranty for a few hundred $$$ but I believe you had to purchase it at delivery. A lot of dealers don't bother to mention it. If you are handy you can probably handle most small issues yourself. JMO.
